Custom Fields

Right after setting up BugTracker.Net, you can start entering bugs. The Bug Detail page has a handful of default fields that can get you started. However, if you need to add additional fields, like Due Date or Version Fixed, you can do so in a variety of ways.

User Defined Attribute

A User Defined Attribute is a special drop down box that applies to all projects.

Note

Unlike other custom fields, there can be only User Defined Attribute in the entire system.

Custom Fields

Custom fields, can range from a simple text box, to a drop down box, and can be restricted to specific data types. Like the User Defined Attribute, fustom fields will apply to all projects. You can add as many custom fields as you want.

Project Specific Dropdowns

If you need to add something specific to a project, you can use project specific dropdowns. Each project can have a maximum of 3 custom drop down boxes.
